Paper Trey Princess Challenge

I am hosting the challenge for this weeks Paper Trey Princesses and I am 3 days late. I apologize for this. I can give you every excuse in the book but the simplest answer is life just happened.

So on to the show. Red is my favorite color so I decided to do the challenge around that. My challenge for you is to use RED. I used Pure Poppy from PTI. Psst....I love Kraft Paper also.

Thanks so much ladies and I'll be chatting with you soon.

The challenge was to make a card using Hot or Cold Colors. To see more info on the challenge hop on over to Vanessa's Blog.

Happy Birthday Karen, aka Aunt KK. My son, who is 17, who could not pronounce "Karen" when he was little thus the nickname KK was given. We love you dearly.

Baby Notes

Ok, this is something I made awhile back and didn't take a picture. I'm a child care provider for a sweet little boy and I made this so his Mom and I could communicate with ease without having to pick up the phone every other day. Seems to be working out very well. I wanted to use white O-Wires but I didn't have the size I needed. I also took the picture very quickly as you can tell I did not use my photo tent. With all the short cuts it turned out pretty good!!!

INK CTMH Bamboo and Crystal Blue

Baby Shower Invitation

This is a Baby Shower invitation I made for my one and only Niece. She is pregnant with her 2nd child and it's a girl. When my sister asked me to help make them my first thought was my niece, Bethany. What does she like? Purple is her favorite color and she loves butterflies. Well I think I covered all aspects. The pink is for, of course, the baby being a little girl. I hope the father can survive raising 2 girls. He's such a softy!!!

Mothers Day Card's

I've been very BIZZY with making Mothers Day Card's. I wanted a simple design (mass production) but each card with it's "own" design. I think I have accomplished it. I made cards for my mom, mother-in-law, sister, and niece's. There's something interesting I want to show you about the niece card. Stay tuned to the 2nd picture.

My color pallet is from Close to My Heart. I love their colors. When making a card for my niece's I could not find a stamp that just said niece. I could not believe out of ALL the stamps I own none of them said niece. Well what to do?!?!?!?! Th
e I remembered I have all the R-G-B codes to match CTMH so that's what I did. I printed the Niece sentiment via the computer. I could not believe how close the colors are. WOW!!! I posted a close up picture so you could judge for yourself. Enjoy and thanks for blogging by.

Christopher's Birthday Card

Another not so good picture. But again this card had been delivered before I realized the picture was not so good. Anywhooo, this is another BD Card for April and it's for my newphew. He is a train guy. Loves Thomas the train!! So I thought this was appropriate for him. Miss you Christopher!!

I pulled out a SU Teddy and Train set for his card. I think the card is a little "flat". Nothing is raised to give it some dimension. But other then that I do like the card. Here are the details.

PAPER CTMH Solid Cardstock Cranberry and Moonstruck, Designer Paper by CMTH I just don't know the name of it.

BEFORE AND AFTER

You know sometimes when you finish a card you say "I wish I had done this". This post is an example of that. Not that this time around makes a big difference but a lot of times it could. The thing that draws me to art work is texture or the look of texture. I like it when something makes me want to touch it.

Ok, on with the picture. T
his Mother's day card is for a dear friend who is going through a rough time. Almost everything and anything has happened to her in the past 18 months. I want to make sure she knows how wonderful a mother she is.

I love the color combination for this card. Lots of pastels, very feminine. Perfect for a Mother's Day card. When I finished the card though, I wish I had put my background through a Embossing Folder...well I created another card and did just that. I think it makes enough difference to say "ahhhhhh". The only thing I changed were the pearls. I used tiny brads so they would balance the design better.

I would love to hear you thoughts. Thanks for blogging by
